Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality (Café management)
The Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality (Café management) is designed for graduate students who wish to study the Hospitality Management focussing on Café management. This course will teach students the skill required by Restaurant Manager as well as Entrepreneurs who wish to set up their own café in the near future. Students can also choose to pursue a career in Cafes or Hospitality Sector. Students will be able to put their studies into experience during their six-month internship on completion of this 9-month program.

Strategic Planning
This module will teach students about understanding necessary skill required to devise an effective strategic business plan. They will also study Business Analysis and strategic planning options. Students will be taught on how to construct a comprehensive strategic business plan for hospitality businesses
Finance for Managers
This module will teach students with’ knowledge, understanding and skills needed to critically analyse internal and external financial information.This module will cover financial ratio analysis, investment appraisal techniques and cashflow management in business specific to hospitality industry.
Research
This module aims at developing students knowledge, understanding and skills required to undertake research to achieve strategic business management. This module will cover research methodologies, report formulation, research analysis and presentation of findings. Learners will learn how to conduct research on businesses in order to develop a plan for hospitality and café businesses.
Organisational Behaviour
This module will trach students about developing an understanding of how organisational behaviour, structure, culture, motivation, creativity and leadership impact on an organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency. Students can use this knowledge gained to understand how companies can motivate their staff towards greater effectiveness and also help them in their carer.
Leadership
This module will teach the students to become effective leaders by allowing an opportunity for self-development and also enhance their management skills. This will lead to them having a greater vision and strategic direction.
Strategic Marketing for Hospitality
This module will teach students about understanding of marketing at strategic level. Learners will learn how to create a strategic marketing plan for hospitality organisations.
International Marketing for Hospitality
Marketing for hospitality will teach students about the need for marketing and an indepth understanding of international marketing. Learners will learn how to construct effective international marketing plans within the allocated budget for hospitality organisations.
Corporate Communication for Hospitality
Students on completion of this module will understand the importance of corporate communication to the achievement of corporate objectives. Students will acquire applicable skills in auditing corporate communication strategies as well as developing corporate communication strategies for hospitality organisations.
Pastry and Baking Techniques
This module will teach students the basics of Bread, cake and pastry making.
Food and beverage Operations
This module will teach students, about the practical knowledge required in the food service industry. Topics will encompass food and beverage service, table setting, Handling of Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic beverages.
Industry Attachment
Learners will get to apply the knowledge and skills which they have gained in the classroom in a real work setting. Learners will be deployed to Food & Beverage positions in the hospitality Industry for a period of 6 months. Industrial Attachment is a compulsory and integral part of the course. Should a learner be unable to complete the Industrial Attachment due to circumstances beyond the control of the college, the learner will be required to complete a Project Work instead.
15 months comprising of 9 months class based study & 6 months internship
Students will be assessed by a variety of assignments.
Students who have successfully completed the course by passing every module will be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Café Management by Baking industry Training College.
